The New Argentina project is being realized on the last open space on the Oostelijke Handelskade in the Zeeburg district of Amsterdam by Housing Corporation Het Oosten and Kristal Projectontwikkeling.
The plan consists of three parts: two elongated complexes, both consisting of two blocks with a garden in between. The facade continues on the water side, making it appear as one whole. The third building part is a more vertically designed building that is slightly higher. A total of approximately 260 homes and 1900 m² of commercial space. De Oosterlingen is a new living-workplace with a historical awareness, where attention to peace and space goes hand in hand with connecting – between residents and neighbors, young people and seniors, city and nature, past and present. A vital living environment with a variety of public facilities. An island within the waters of the capital where life is celebrated. A total of 144 homes will be built.
