IGG Building Economy is looking for a senior project manager who will be responsible for managing several of our construction projects.

Your work:

As a project manager you are responsible for determining and controlling the construction and investment costs of construction projects. Due to the increasing complexity of construction projects, our consultants are playing an increasingly decisive role within the design team. Our project leaders are not only building economics advisers, who can prepare various building cost estimates and advice, but also the primary contact with our clients and are able to manage an internal team for larger projects.

As a project leader you oversee the entire project across all disciplines and you help, as part of the design team, optimize the design based on costs and quality. You are responsible for multiple projects within IGG. Advising goes further than just the cost budget; the project leader also analyzes how a construction project can function better in terms of building system, sustainability and procurement strategy. Furthermore, you and your colleagues are constantly consulting the market and looking for the right information that is required for our work.

The project leader is responsible for:

• The preparation of budget estimates and budgets in different phases of construction projects up to and including implementation;
• Advising the design team by adjusting budgets and advising on design optimizations during design developments;
• Testing the feasibility of a plan in relation to the requirements and wishes of the client, the technical feasibility, the desired sustainability ambitions and the planning of a project;
• Advising the client on a strategic level to realize a project;Planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously;
• Capturing realized project substantive cost knowledge and contributing to the continuous development of the level of knowledge within our office.
• Working in a team within the IGG organization and being able to manage colleagues.
• Advising design team and client in different phases of the construction project.

We ask this of you:

• A completed HBO or WO architecture, building technique or equivalent.
• Affinity with costs and numbers (you are also highly mathematical).
• Extensive experience in drawing up construction and investment cost budgets.
• Extensive experience with the (independent) organization of projects.
• Experience with special or complex construction projects.
• Genuine involvement in the construction projects you are working on.
• Good communication skills (written and oral).
• Affinity with the field.

You can also analyze at different levels of abstraction and work in a planned, structured and very accurate way.
