Determines the correct legal basis
The basis for charging fees is determined in the municipality's fee regulation. However, many fee killings are not completely clear about the exact costs of the fee. In some cases, reference is made to "Construction costs in accordance with NEN 2631". However, this is a heavily outdated version and has already been replaced for the NEN 2699. To determine the correct legal basis, an applicant must therefore have knowledge of both the legal regulation and the NEN 2699 referred to. When specifying the legal basis, an applicant must take into account the fact that not all costs are (or have to be) part of the construction costs in accordance with NEN. In many cases, costs such as design costs, user finishes, demolition costs and the like will not have to be included in the basis.
Save costs / check costs
Correct determination of the fee can save a lot of costs, in some cases between tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands of euros. It is therefore interesting not to go over this too quickly and to state the full costs.
IGG can help an applicant determine the legal basis, so that unnecessary costs are not paid. This is not about incorrectly specifying the basis, but about the correct fee basis from which costs are not included in the basis.
IGG can also be of service to municipalities by performing the same calculation on building projects for which environmental permits have been requested. IGG realizes the correct fee for municipalities by checking the application and adding costs that have not been included in the fee basis.
